Sandra smelled what she thought was ANGIE's attempt at cooking again. Sighing she went down to the Mess and walked in. Sitting there was Sam. No one else was present and he sat at HER table.
Sam stood and walked over to her, smiling. He started to guide her to the table which he had placed a table cloth and what looked like Fried chicken with all the fixings. A couple of bottles of ale sat in an Ice bucket and two glasses were present.
"What's all this?" Sandra asked.
"Oh, I dunno." Sam began. "Just thought you'd like to have dinner with me."
Sandra's eyes narrowed. "Is that all?" She asked.
Sam's face fell a bit. "Of course. Well dinner and a movie. I was thinking something Sci-Fi(ish). Come on Sandra it's just dinner and a movie. I promise."
"Hmm..." Sandra mused. "I don't know. I've got a lot of work to get done and..."

Um... well this is embarrassing, I really thought I'd be able to get back to to the comic this weekend but... I'm kind of going to be out of town for Emerald City ComiCon this weekend

Of everything that will be going on there over the weekend (panels and such) the thing I'm looking forward to the most is meeting Royden Lepp, creator of Rust... and purchasing volume three of same series months before official release (and I hope, even getting him to sign it

Anyway, there's packing to be done and sandwiches to consume before we hit the road. I'll be back with the comic next week, I promise...

EDIT: ComiCon was awesome! Picked up a few art prints, met a bunch of artists, got another graphic novel (Pariah Missouri) AND got chapter three of 'Rust' signed by the author. Read through it as soon as we made it back to the motel... and I was left feeling a bit like Oliver Twist asking Mr. Bumble, "please sir... may I have some more?"
