Thankless Job
Hey all, sorry for the long hiatus. Anyway, my son was over here last week and we went onto the New Wings - Wargrounds server and went for a little photo-recon flight in an R.E.8, me flying and he took the observer's seat. This story is in two parts; the first bit is based on how we felt during and just after the flight, and the second bit is based on how I felt on seeing how the game scored the sortie. I think I might have gone a bit Black Adder on this one... :XD:
Enjoy :D

I have a slight problem
The long story is I was force-updated to windows 10, and that broke my 3d model editor. So I updated to the new editor, and it broke all of the rigging for the 3D model I made for the Morocco. It hasn't been much of a problem because I've only needed the occasional beauty shot and I could fake the moving parts for the most part.

So I don't really want to go forward with

Up in the air! Junior Birdman!
I didn't realize that I was being all 'Mr. Serious-Face' at the time! Believe me, I was grinning like an idiot on the insides. :D
There was an inversion layer in place which made it a bit hazy, but very calm. There was only a little chop below 3500' and it was smooth as glass above that. He had me fly lowish and follow the canyons around Mt. Spokane to practice pure VFR flying. These pictures don't do the awe I felt any justice at all.
After that, I brought her home and landed her back at Felt's Field. After the flare just above the runway, I was so preoccupied with holding her attitude that I was a little surprised when we touched d
